Processing time for imprints:
Imprinting typically adds 2 to 10 business days to your order depending on the type of imprinting:

• numbering
  Numbering is fast, from a day or two if no one's orders are ahead of you, up to approximately 5 business days when imprinted choir orders are queuing up before and during the Fall.
• economy text imprinting
  Economy Imprinting is done in-house and fastest, from a day or two if no-one's orders are ahead of you, up to approximately 5 business days. Sometimes a large order with everyone's individual name on a folder can take another day or two in peak season.
• regular text imprinting
  Regular Imprinting has the type created from molten metal and the firm that creates your type gets a weekly order from us on Friday morning. Then it will take us a similar amount of time as above, to imprint your folders the following week after your type has been created. Thus you're looking at up to approximately 10 business days to imprint, before shipping (depending on what day of the week you order).
• choir logo imprinting
  Logos usually take up to 10 business days for die creation and foil-stamping.

The normal color for imprinting is gold, to match the black-and-gold/brass color styling of the folders.

However, other colors are available at small additional fee, on regular text imprinting and logo imprinting. A new option is to imprint with no colored foil at all, so the text is debossed into the folder and only visible up close.

For imprinting of repeated texts (such as a choir name) there is a box to fill in with your text EXACTLY as you want it. For other details such as imprinting of unique names of each choir member, or details such as starting numbering of folders other than at "1", there is a "Special Instructions" box at the ordering stage where you are filling in contact details, so after adding "unique text" to the shopping cart, you can put those singer name details in at the end (or email or fax us with long lists).

Track your valuable new assets with permanent numbering. The numbering location for fast and easy organization is the top right corner of the front of the folder. Gold colour only, $1.90 per folder up to 99 folders; $1.75 per folder at 100 and more.

Economy Text imprinting is fast and inexpensive - i.e. $1.85 per folder when your quantity is 3 or more, for a choir name repeated on each of your folders.

We have two type sets available for this - 36 pt. Times Roman is the standard font, and 36 pt. Brush font (an elegant script-like italic font) is an option for $0.50 more.

Each font is roughly 3/8"(1 cm) tall. The maximum number of characters (including spaces), in one line of text is determined by the size of the machine's type-holder; it is typically 26 with all letters upper case, but we can usually fit up to 30 characters per line with upper and lower case letters when only the first letter of words is capitalized.
You purchase imprinting by the line, per folder.

Economy imprinting may have occasional small voids in foil coverage or filling of tiny spaces in letters like an "e", because it is stamped onto the relatively soft and textured leatherette of the folder. However, as it is debossed right into the textured material, this hot foil stamping has great durability. Economy Imprinting is also the fastest imprinting option as it, like numbering, is done in-house with heated movable type.

A repeated line of text (such as a choir name) is $1.85 USD per line; $1.75 each at quantity of 100 or more. Unique lines of text (i.e. singers' names) are $2.95 USD each per line.

NEW! Below you have choices in font and in color - note a new option we have included, 'blind debossing' - which is simply stamping the heated type onto the folder but WITHOUT any foil, so your name/numbering/choir name is clearly visible if you are holding the folder -- but there is no gold text showing to the audience. We suspect it will be a popular option for numbering and for individual names.

Logo Imprinting

If you would like to imprint a logo on your folders, we need your logo as camera-ready black and white artwork, or as a print-quality graphics file (absolute minimum 300 dpi, 600 dpi recommended). As an image, this can of course include text in your own fonts.

This can really look spectacular, and again, is more costly for small numbers of folders but rapidly drops in price for larger orders. You probably want a minimum number of 25 folders embossed to spread out the set-up costs. Your logo is imaged onto film, the film is put on a light-sensitive coated metal plate, exposed under UV light, chemically etched to transfer the image in relief, and hot-stamped through foil.

You have to add the service charge for the die to the "Regular Imprinting" per-folder costs, to know the correct price. Please call us with any questions. Your price for a logo sized up to 4 square inches (i.e. 2"x2" or 1"x4") is $65 USD, or up to 8 square inches (i.e. 2"x4") is $115 USD.
